Show and Tell with Makay...

I am going to hold a show-and-tell today... haha. Here are some fun things I got for Easter:

A red bear, named Rojo... haha.



"See the Morning" Chris Tomlin CD. My current faves on this album are: "How can I keep from Singing", "Made to Worship", and "Let your Mercy Rain". Chris Tomlin has an amazing voice for some seriously inspirational songs...





Cadbury Eggs, MMMMMMMMMMMMMM... my all time favorite! They are so good! I get one 4-pack a year and that is it. So I enjoyed biting into one yesterday. They are little taste of heaven. :)



I also got a coloring book and crayons, haha. I think the """Easter Bunny""" still thinks I am 5. ;)

And also to little "pocket" bottles of Hand sanitizer that is Strawberry scented.... In AP lit I always put on hand sanitizer, and it SMELLSSSS! My friend Wes coughs (dramatically of course) when I put it on. It is ridiculously potent, but this one smells really good. This one is for you and your nostrils Wes... haha. You can thank the """Easter Bunny""". ;)

Happy Easter...

He is risen! Celebrate, the ressurection of our Lord! Finally we are through 3 days of waiting after Jesus' death and now he has risen!

"The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."

Today is a great day of worship in which we will shout onto the highest "How great is our God" "Hosanna" "He is risen!" It is at this time that I remember why, and how God gave His one and only perfect son for us, for all humaninty, so that we can one day enter the pearly gates of Heaven. The sacraficial death, for you, and for me, for everyone... All you have to do is tap in and let Him come into your heart and mend your brokeness. So someday you will bask in the warmth and love of Heaven and God.

Good Friday...

I know I mentioned this in my last post, Good Friday. A Christian holiday in which we remember the sacrifice God made for us... as said in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, so that whoever should believe in Him should and would not perish, but have everlasting life." I feel that this is a day of pain and sorrow, a day to remember all that we have, and all that we do not do... If you are a Christian today you should spread the word of this great act of love. If you are not you should look and see, this is what God did to save us from our sins. I wanted to post this video from the Passion of Christ the movie directed by Mel Gibson. The epic and inspirational story of the Messiah Jesus Christ, the son of the living God. It is intense, but it shows the true meaning of today, and Easter Sunday.



That was all for us... He would have gone through that for ONE of us... but instead he was able to provide a gateway for all man-kind. I felt moved to share the story of Easter, and Good Friday so that you could understand the reason we celebrate it in the first place.

There is a tradition that my family does every year... and that is Easter Story Cookies... I want you all to make them. They are delicious, but best of all they have a meaning. Here is a link to an amazing tradition:

Spring Break!!!! Finally...

Wooo... I am worn out! Spring Break came at the perfect time this year, when I need to slow down and relax. haha. The weather is amazing, 80-something for the next week! YAY! I thought I would give you an update of pics so here goes...

And tomorrow is Good Friday... The day Jesus was crucified, so remember that as you go about your business... remember the sacrafice God made for you.

My Sweet 16 Dress...

Haha... okay... okay... enough fooling around... I know this is a little off topic, but it does feature my grill, haha. My sweet 16 party is going to be on April 24th and my AWESOME parents are letting me invite 30-40 friends to it... it is going to be semi-formal, but of course I need a dress myself... so I thought I would share. It is so pretty and delicate I love it!!!!!! :)

I love it. So pretty, I feel like a princess. Thanks to my parents and my Nana and Papa for buying such a special dress, for such a special birthday! It really is going to be a birthday to remember. :)

hmmmm... I wonder if my ortho will take my braces off for my party... I wish. haha.

My Newly Found Gap...

Okay, so, update. I have a gap in my bottom middle teeth. I just got my braces tightened last week and now I have a gap. Not cool. I thought braces were suppose to correct the alignment of your teeth, not worsen it. I have never had a gap before, but now due to this new wire I am developing one. ARGH! Now when I talk I seem to whistle on my "s" it is verrrrrrry frustrating. hmph. Here check it out...

This great quote was hanging on the wall in my AP Lit class, and when I saw it I immediately wrote it down for one of my besties Britt, and handed it to her after school. Have you ever felt like your life is mundane? The same day after day? Well I have been in a rut lately, and quitefrustrated with my boring day-to-day life... I asked God, "Why do I feel so empty?". All I know is my school work feels pointless and my daily life is making me apathetic towards life in general. I sit around wondering about my future, but I realize I have to make it happen... that simple fact is like a brick wall. I feel like God is telling me to WAKE UP! Life is short and there are many people in this world to meet, to help, and to share my faith with. Sometimes I feel like a small inadequate ant that has no control, but I do... I have
control over myself and what I do. I am looking to find that special something that God put me on this planet for. I know He will lead me to it, but I have to get my feet dirty first, and roll up my sleeves because there is a HUGE world in front of me that I have to reach. Like the lyrics to a Britt Nicole song goes,
