Forever you are gone.
No more insecurity.
No more trying to hide you!
No more fear of being thought of as "disformed"
No longer feeling unworthy- not beautiful.
Forever it is gone.
I am so glad to be free.
to no longer have to hide behind it.
No more insecurity.
I am the same person...
Just a new sense of confidence.
I am love who I am. I love where I am.
And I love my smile!
How long I have waited to say that. :D
Love, Makay
Hey! Not sure if you remember me but I am your Dad's cousin Mark's wife!
ReplyDeleteMy son Owen who is 12 is sorta going through the same thing (that would be your 2nd cousin I guess!) and I showed him your blog and told him he could follow under my name.
He has just started with spacers but is headed for a long journey so I hope you don't mind him checking in every so often!
Hi Makay!
ReplyDeleteNice poem! I can't wait to have the same feeling and freedom!
Cheers!
Brent
haha, didn't I take that first picture? you're so pretty :D
ReplyDeleteHaha. YES DANA! You did. :) I should have given you some credit. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Brent. It is SO worth it.
ANd @ Marci-
Aw. Really? I am glad I can help family out too! What does he have? And underbite? Is it bad? Or the same as mine? How old is he?
Love, Makay
Beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Makay,
ReplyDeleteI just had double jaw surgery to correct my underbite and a list of other problems related to my misaligned jaws (ex).
I'm 9 days post surgery and looking for some inspiration from other people who have done similar surgeries as I have.
Thanks for your videos and blog posts. I hope my own blogs and videos will help other would-be jaw surgery patients like yours.
Cheers,
Vince
The poem is so awesome! Sorry for the late reply! So glad you're loving your new bite! :)
